Movie Thoughts

Mummy 3 - BURN IT! OH MERCIFUL GODDESS! BURN IT!!!...okay, maybe not that bad but it was pretty bad. The actress to replace Rachel Weisz just doesn't work and it's big, giant problem throughout the entire movie. Granted, I did like some of the ideas in it...although the brother-in-law yelling "SPANK MY ASS!" to Brendan Fraser...yeah...X_X...*sigh*...I liked the intro actually, and I liked any scene where Brendan Fraser went solo and I actually liked when he "dies" because it provides a symmetry to Mummy 2...but the same actress not being there was a biiiiig problem with that emotional feeling.
Hellboy 2 - The best superhero movie (for me) from 2008. Yes, I have seen The Dark Knight but this is what it's all about. Guillermo del Toro...<3. There is so much fantasy-world awesome packed into this movie and fun enjoyable characters with a nice side of darkness. There is stuff that makes the HP Lovecraft-loving side of me feel giddy. There is just so much fun in this movie. It's a same-same plot about an Dark Elf who wants to bring about the destruction of humanity with an Ancient Weapon. But John Hurt returns! ^_^ *squeeeeee* I didn't even care that the new guy was voiced by Seth MacFarlane. It just rocked soooo much.
