In it's place, I have gotten a 20 inch (the smallest at Best Buy) LG monitor. It's now 1600 X 900 @_@ resolution. Which feels just utterly insane by comparison to what I had before (1024X768 ---the monitor looked like a crunched piece of paper). Clearly the CRT tube was dying...it was also pumping out ozone I think. The monitor is so much different but it's a good kind of different so far. I need to take some time and get used to it.
What's the best way to clean an LCD screen? I just had laptops and I tried to be gentle to them when I could.
The monitor is kinda on the bright side but I don't know.
The model is LG W2061 (and I'm using the analog cable that came with it but I think I have a DV-1 output. I'm not geeky enough to really understand if this would make a difference.)
PS - My main complaint right now is that the monitor is kinda bright for my eyes and when I put it on black it gets these faint, swirly lines from the top left to the bottom right. They don't move so much as stay where they are an undulate. It barely shows but it's still something to note
