My first dream came early and in it and I was trying to will hugs of happiness to my friends. I was sending them out in the darkness and trying to get the love out...like a pulse of happiness with an embrace. It was kinda interesting and one of the more proactive dreams I had. I always try to think of sending love and hugs and best wishes to friends but it never usually works out in dreams.

From there, the dreams changed a bit when I nodded off a bit before really waking up. I had a dream about a school which was supposed to be a reality-camera version of two adapted "Ray Bradbury" tales. In the first it was pretty normal. It was about teachers in the future. The school was as old as ever and the chairs those kind where it's tan wood with a bend-down table for writing. The floors were really dusty and worn in place with missing tile.

The only role of the teacher in this world was to officiate the work of students because their assignments "played" according to the education goals and they followed them rigidly. Apparently teaching is considered better performed by a computer. The lessons are done by their papers. The papers are super-flat screens with touch. It's like a super-thin screen with the assignments there and lesson assessments. The teacher just went around uploading the reports from the AI in the paper. Then the teacher ran into students who had actual paper instead of digital paper and tried to touch them but they just wouldn't respond. The students were looking on others and trying to do the same assignments on their own. The teacher wrote the students up for a school violation of "being too poor for school". They'd be put in a special class aside from the other students and intentionally work on assignments at one quarter speed as punishment for their poverty.

Later, the dream took an odd turn as the teachers are discussing things after school. And there's this one teacher who is near to retirement and he just can't take the pressure anymore. He can't take the pressure of technology and to hide his skill as a teacher. He feels more like an "accountant of products" than a teacher...and he knows if he can just burst out and actually teach that he can do something. A steam starts to fill the room. And as it does...the older teacher melts in his clothes down to nothingness. The other teachers scream as the steam starts to melt them as well. The camera-holding person runs and runs from the steam but they're starting to melt too.

They somehow get to a river and scream "Donna!" (Donna is supposed to be their lady love and they would go to the circus with her all the time and have this little phrase between each other about the circus.)

In the water, they cool down and stop melting but they've turned into a little midget with wrinkly skin like a cross between the elephant man and one of those dogs with really loose, wrinkly skin.

The man from the dream camera POV clambers onto the shore and tries to find someone in the evening who can help him get home. He tries a pair of Japanese joggers but they respond to him like they would a monster and run off after yelling in Japanese (btw, the melting man probably came from my viewing of H-man a while ago...so the Japanese reference is fitting).

Eventually, the new midget man runs into a quartet biker gang. The gang acts nice to him and says they'll take him somewhere and it's not long before he realizes that they've sold him the circus as a freak (the dream/story/adaptation that the dream touts to be, cinematically, is supposed to two Ray Bradbury stories combined - "The School" and "Carnival").

It's there that I start fast-forwarding in my dream remote control and there's the guy in his pink, barred cage like a lion and he's being gawked over for his super-wrinkly skin. Eventually, Donna shows up at the circus and I, as the dreamer, found it so obvious that she was gonna save him that I didn't bother seeing the rest and just quit there.

And that was the dream's end.
