major_kerinaUltimately I'm glad to finally finish up Super Gals. The length of watching it all kinda came out to the actual length of watching it on tv show it was an interesting parallel. This 2nd season was quite a bit weaker than the first. No Ran getting amnesia and wanting to a policewoman. No big finishes. Just a sort of..."Ran is annoying but she's one of a kind." flicker-out. And so here are the last couple of episode in screencap silliness form...
Episode 48 - 2nd Place Becomes 1st Place in Mami-rin's Heart. This episode sucked. Mainly due to a loss of quality art. That kinda follows for the rest of the series but in this and the next couple it's the most obvious. Still, the nth battle between Mami-rin and Ran kinda gets old. Still, it has its moments.

Episode 49 - Miyu's Angst Returns and Ran is Too Selfish to Care
Yeah, I don't like Ran here. She does nothing to help Miyu's mother finally leaving her forever and doesn't notice the fallout with her other friend. Basically she just pisses and moans about being held back a grade. It was cute so far as episodes go but Ran is really annoying now...
See? She's eating while Miyu starves...
Unfortunately, not the Hand of Death.

Episode 50 - Ran Doesn't Quite Get Her Comeupance...
Yeah, Ran makes it to the next grade...whoop-de-do...but she breaks many hearts and pretty well fouls things up. Boo!!!!
But at least she has creepy nightmares...
Mwhahahahahah! Yes! The Ovalisks have been sicked upon her!!!
They're coming to take her away!!! ^_^ *glee*
Drat! Just a dream...for now...
I'll get you some day, Ran! SOME DAY!!!
Even the kitty is plotting her revenge...
Ran still doesn't get it...*pokes her*
Episode 51 - Ran Bugs Out...
Here's the whole resolution arc with Ran and her friends. Seriously, I don't know why they forgive her so easily. Oh well...at least we're near the end.

You are doomed Ran! Mwhahahaha
Okay, I gotta admitt these eyes are amusing to me. Seeing Ran in pain is really fun...

Monkeyboy - "I'm dumping you, Ran." Ran - "Hahahaha! No one dumps, Ran!" *dumps* Ran - "Nyoro~n..."

Episode 52 - My way...
I'm going to forego the usual with this one. Basic plot - Ran runs away, everyone misses her, she comes back. It's basically an excuse to end things without a lot of character art. A lot of backgrounds. So I will use mostly background and set it to a song which seemed apt. It's kinda like an Eva-like artsy thing...
And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I 'll say it clear,
I 'll state my case of which I 'm certain.
I've lived a life thats full,
I travelled each and every highway,
And more, much more than this,
I did it My Way.
Regrets, I 've had a few,
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception
I planned each charted course
each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this,
I did it My Way.
Yes there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall

I 've had my fill, my share of losing
and now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
to think I did all that
and may I say not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no not me

For what is a Gal, what has she got?
If not herself, then she has naught.
To say the things she truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.

And so there ends Super Gals. That's that. It's done. Was fun but now it's gone. On the whole it was a typical series with typical characters that surprised me enough for time to time that I kept going all the way to the end. I'm glad I watched it but I'm ready to move on.
