I don't care about sex but it's not like I'm gonna strap down everyone's penises and chasty-fy things. But this country is nuts in that direction.
Bill Maher's show had an interesting comment from Bradley Whitford about how you can kill and destroy life showing it in games and movies and in wars and that's not a big deal...it's alright...but the act of creating life or a baby feeding is somehow debased and hideous with a need to slap all kinds of stickers all over it.

As Bill said "This country needs to get laid" metaphorically speaking...stop obsessing about what Lil' Billy is doing at his computer screen, bedroom, school and worry about presenting an intelligent role model so you know that no matter what that kid does, you can both handle change and exploration and whatever else. But there's so much religious fundimentalism in this country that an Al-Queda is indestinguishable from many so-called Christians you see here. Except they're not brandishing AK-47s...yet. Just wait, they have this country in their grasp while still touting themselves as the victim...they want pseudo-science equal footing in Intelligent Design. I don't mind it being expressed as a philosophy, as a concept but not with science, because it doesn't exist as a science. It's a philosophical argument. I respect it but don't ask for scientific basis because it isn't right to the concept and it doesn't serve anyone because the science is just concocted to give it scientific meaning which is not meant for. Why in the hell does my speech which I gave to 50 students about "Global Warming is Real" and all agreed seem like such fond days now? Global Warming exists. It's real. There is a scary line where human industry and a similar progression of temperature match up darn well. There are memos where the oil companies plotted to muddle things in climate science and say "oh it's just a theory...no facts"...funny that doesn't work with the concocted theory of Intelligent Design. There is a verifiable truth that exists in the science seen rapidly becoming alarming and grave...the temperature anomalies have been ironed out as faulty satellites...maybe the oil companies even paid for those satellites? Don't know.

What I know is that it's hot and getting hotter and when it you destablize the climate, shit happens you don't even want to know...imagine violent tempests of the sort every year like the Day After Tomorrow for 10 generations. And the eleventh generation gets an Ice Age to last 2 million years. Or move the Ice Age up a bit. Imagine there have been dozens, nay hundreds of civilizations before us, before humans on this planet. It's a world with billions of years. Imagine there were a 'demon' civilization...an 'angel' civilization...other beings. And all we have now are their ghosts, their genetic memory lost in the ice because they were too short-sighted to manage their global affairs for their long-term prosperity. Because that's what thinking about global warming is about. It's not tree-huggers...it's saving the planet. The only place where we were can exist. Particularly since no one seems interested in space. Don't think that this world can't become Venus or Mars just because it hasn't yet....things tend to try to prove you wrong...and the only ones to say "well shit...I guess the planet-savers were right" will be vacuum-sealed skeletons. But then my theory is far too many people in this country expect someone else will clean up after their messes...you know...like God?

He'll just super-miracle their asses to heaven while the world goes boom so they can be the kings of that place too. God wouldn't possibly let them rot and let their pleas be in vane and let them suffer because they make like the good Christian while holding to none of the actual...you know...'ideas'...'love'...'genuine feeling for other human beings' that Jesus did...apparently they skipped ahead in Revelation and missed the part about those subserving religion to their own ends and false prophets claiming to be sent from God. Just got too teary-eyed about how many jewels heaven has I guess... well...they are the very dangers the Bible warns us about!

And I'm not about let the lot of them ruin my country and planet, ever, even if I have to go Mazoku on all their asses like I do with the Blood Void. In fact, I doubt either are mutually exclusive between those corporate/religious/fuck things up for everyone-ers and those red-eyed fuckers. I believe in creativity, freedom of spirit and love and I will do my darnest in life to free the world from the spirit of terrorism, hurt and fear far away but mostly in this country.

Btw, apologies for the length, a lot of occasionally incoherent thoughts and watching Bill Maher prompted a lot of this (you can probably tell by the framing style) but I feel these things. I'm quite accepting though if those on the other side are sincere but I cannot stand those who would seek to impugne on my life, liberty and livelyhood. I know this sounds rather libertarian. I guess I am but I want to see...I think of it like I want the government to just write checks. Then independant, autonomous organizations with self-contained outsight which is still accountable to the people would manage programs and services. I want to take away as much centralized power as possible but still keep services in place...heck volunteers in aspects of government would be great...there are tons of people in the Minutement Project who would be willing to offer time helping out the border patrol, just pay them fair money for their services...have like jury system for different parts of government. You're paid to help out in part of the government. It's just an idea I was considering on the fly. And the government rather does work like this...only it likes to think the federal government matters more. Also I like the idea of telling where your particular taxes will go.

On the whole I'm glad I wrote this out. There's not much of a point to it, just some thoughts I needed to vent out. Now I need a nap *curls up and rests*

You know, it's those psuedo-Christians that I tend to have a field day with from time to time when they think some massive miracle is going to come tomorrow, clean up the environment, kill all the terrorists, and then fuel up their hummers for the next week.

Sadly, miracles like that DON'T happen. If nothing else, the only miracle I see religion giving me is a "place" to go after I've left this world through death. Now, I doubt that what happens to me from there doesn't matter too much on my beliefs, it'll just happen.

But as Nora Hamilton in "A Doll House" said to her husband, "If only a miracle... Oh, Torvald, I just don't believe in miracles any more!"

If anything's going to get done, people are going to need a bucket of ice-water dumped on their heads as a wake call to hopefully get shtuff done.

If they're concerned that they can't save the world by themselves, big deal. They just need to do their part, and as long as others follow by their example, and start taking up the helm for what they can do, the world would be soooo much better.

But there's a hitch right there. Many people are too nervous of themselves that a lot of people won't take that first step, to be a leader.

All things that I hope I can do more as I become older, more experienced, and better known as a person, or even as an engineer...

Just my 5 and a half cents on your thoughs Kerina, which I agree with Thorn are very good. ^^

*Hugs* I know how you mean, mommy... I'm stuck here in Virginia where every five miles there is another one of those churches filled with SUVs.... -_-;;
I do wish people would get a grip and stop trying to backstab eachother too... the whole "keeping up with the Jones'" is getting rather old...

There you said it... people just being too afraid to take responsability for their actions. Responsible choices aren't just because of accountability, it takes to aware of your motivations, understanding the factors at stake, and weighing the possible outcomes. Only then responsible decisions be made. That is the real reason why children are to be instructed, to be imparted morals, to be prepared for the world.

Sadly, everywhere, children are infused with this enormous fear that strangles the good in them. The worst fear possible. Fear for one another. And that suberts the very essence of what is to live as a society, what it means to be a part of humanity. But reallly, what is fear for the others? Nothing but selfishness... and lack of empathy.

Even if herded together their only unity is in fear, a fear fueled by the misconceptions of others that need to escalated over and over again lest THEY dare harm us. THEY, the corruptors. THEY, the wicked. THEY, our enemies. THEY, the different.

In truth... We are but human We want to live. We all want to be loved... and love. If only humankind closed their eyes... and seached deep within... the mists of our self created tormentors would vanish.. and dawn would truly break upon our race.
